Providing the best and most spectacular mountainerring experience is the main goal for our company. Therefore, qualifications, certifications and continous education of our guides is an essential aspect of our work. All our guides are certified by the Ecuadorian Mountain Guide Association (ASEGUIM -Asociación Ecuatoriana de Guias de Montaña). At the same time many of them got additionally the certification by the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA – UIAGM – IVBV).
Juan’s dream – 65 years later
On the first weekend of March 2018 we accompanied Juan Castillo Barona. Our mission: to make his lifelong dream come true. The 77-year-old Ecuadorian wanted to climb volcano Tungurahua again, 65 years after his last ascent to the summit. more “Juan’s dream – 65 years later”

Wanna conquer one of Ecuador’s highest peaks? Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, Cayambe: new topos were published. Therefore, the Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism cooperated with the Ministry of Environment and the Ecuadorian Mountain Guide Association to elaborate new topos. As a result, these helpful documents include the mountain’s location, its camps and refuges as well as what kind of weather and terrain you have to expect. Our summit hit rate shows all information about the mountains in Ecuador over 5.000 m / 16.404 ft. Everyone wants to reach the summit of the mountains they intend to climb. Therfore, we at andean summit adventure help you to fulfill those dreams. In the last couple of years, we accompanied 552 climbers to Ecuador’s highest mountains. Altar – El Obispo (5.310 m)
El Obispo is the highest elevation of an extinct volcano and one of Ecuador’s hardest climbs. The extinct volcano El Altar or Capac Urcu reaches a maximum altitude of 5.310 m / 17.421 ft. Climbing Cayambe (5.790 m)

Iliniza Norte (5.126 m) & Iliniza Sur (5.248 m)
Those two mountains are a perfect combination! Iliniza Norte is one of the most popular acclimatization climbs in Ecuador and his neighboring summit, Iliniza Sur, is a great option when it should get a bit more technical. Sincholagua & Antisana
High season is keeping us busy, but yes, there is a small slot for a Christmas Tour for the 2 of us, our targets are Sincholagua and Antisana, 2 of the less visited mountains in Ecuador.
